Introduction
Cheshire Youth Baseball respects each individual’s right to personal privacy.  We will collect and use information through our Web site only in the ways disclosed in this statement.  This statement applies solely to information collected at Cheshire youth Baseball’s Web site.

Part I.  Information Collection
Cheshire Youth Baseball collects information through our Web site at several points.  We collect only the information gathered during our registration process about primary visitors:

 We may also collect passwords for specific access or purchasing which our users divulge about other people, such as referrals or gift purchases. Cheshire Youth Baseball does not actively market to children, and we never knowingly ask a child under 13 to divulge personal information.

We collect the following general data that is not personally identifiable information: children's names, addresses and phone number.  We collect demographic data in order to insure residency in the town of Cheshire.

We will, at times, verify the accuracy of this information during scheduled practices.

We collect this information through registration forms, and automatic logging files.  The information is collected voluntarily.  To register with Cheshire Youth Baseball, proof of residency is required and therefore all information pertaining to this is mandatory.  Other information we request is optional. 

We do not employ cookies. A cookie is a small text file that our Web server places on a user’s computer hard drive to be a unique identifier. Cookies would enable Cheshire Youth Baseball to track usage patterns and deliver customized content to users. 

Any banner advertising appearing on our Web site are only links to sites that Cheshire Youth Baseball has verified.  However as website change, ads may collect personal information.  Please use your discretion when selecting links that take you off of the Cheshire Youth Baseball website.  No third parties collect information at our Web site.

Part II.  Information Usage.
The information collected by Cheshire Youth Baseball will be used for the purpose of verifying residency, adding your child to team rosters, registering your child in any tournaments he is eligible for, and occasional information email messages approved by the board of directors.   

Registered users may receive additional announcements from us about special events and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications.

The information we collect will not be used to create customer profiles based on browsing or purchasing history.  We will not supplement information collected at our Web site with data from other sources (including credit history).

We may share data with the following parties: Cheshire Youth Baseball coaches and directors, contracted insurance providers, and tournament directors/providers.  These third parties will use the information as follows: determination of residency, eligibility for specific leagues, team placement, and methods of contact.  Participants may not opt out of having their information shared with third parties.

We offer links to other Web sites.  Please note: When you click on links to other Web sites, we encourage you to read their privacy policies.  Their standards may differ from ours.

Our Web site may or may not offers message boards.  Please be advised that information posted in these venues becomes public knowledge. 

If our policy on information collection or uses changes, will advise you by the email address in your records and by placing a notice on the home page for exactly 1 month prior to the change taking effect.

Part III.  Access to Information
Cheshire Youth Baseball maintains the accuracy of our information by coaches verification.  Parents may access their own personal information and contact us about inaccuracies they may find by using our feedback page or by contacting your coach directly  Parents may delete their information from our database by providing a request in our feedback page.  Please note that this process will require a phone call to the number in the database as verification.

Part IV. Problem Resolution
If problems arise, users may contact Cheshire Youth Baseball by contacting any of the CYB directors listed in the "Contact Us" section of this website.  We are committed to resolving disputes within 90 days.
