The Rules that travel team play under vary by age. Teams
playing in more than one league or teams playing in weekend
tournaments may also have to deal with subtle rule changes from
their normal playing rules. The following is a general guideline
of the rules that travel teams will play under and does not
constitute a complete set of rules. Please note that these rules
are subject to change and variation.
- All Divisions
A starter that is withdrawn may
re-enter once, as long as he/she occupies the same position in
the batting order. A substitute who is withdrawn may not
re-enter.
- Roberto Clemente Division
Base
paths are Fifty (50) feet in length. Pitching mound is Forty
(40) feet from the plate. Leading is not permitted.
Runners may advance after the Ball Crosses the Plate. Runners
on third may only advance Home on a batted ball or forced Home
via a Base on Balls. A Batter may not advance on a
dropped third strike. Pitchers are limited to three (3)
innings per day. Games are six (6) innings long.
- Willie Mays Division
Base Paths are Sixty-five
(65) feet in length. Pitching mound is Forty-six (46) feet
from the plate. Games are 6 innings long. Pitchers may not
pitch more than six (6) innings in one day or six (6) innings
in two consecutive days. All other rules in accordance with
the Official Rules of Baseball.
- Pee Wee Reese Division
Base Paths are Seventy
(70) feet in length. Pitching mound is Fifty (50) feet from
the plate. Games are 7 innings long. Pitchers may not pitch
more than seven (7) innings in one day or seven (7) innings in
two consecutive days. All other rules in accordance with the
Official Rules of Baseball.
- Sandy Koufax Division
Base Paths are Eighty (80)
feet in length. Pitching mound is Fifty-four (54) feet from
the plate. Games are 7 innings long. Pitchers may not pitch
more than ten (10) innings in two consecutive days unless the
game goes into extra innings. All other rules in accordance
with the Official Rules of Baseball.
- Mickey Mantle Division
A regulation Ninety (90)
foot diamond is utilized. Games are 7 innings long. Pitchers
may not pitch more than twelve (12) innings in two consecutive
days unless the game goes into extra innings. All other rules
in accordance with the Official Rules of Baseball.
